Life has a really good way of showing you serious perspective.\u00a0 I am going on my 6th year working at AU and this has been the most challenging year to date.\u00a0\u00a0 I suppose it was overdue?\u00a0 Lots of big goals, lots of personality struggles and lots of work that cannot even come close to being done in 40 hours a week.\u00a0 I am so blessed to have such an amazing support system outside of work and a faith that keeps me on the right path when I want to stray so badly.<\/p>\n

I mention perspective because earlier last week one of my very closest and dearest friend’s Dad suddenly passed.\u00a0 The moment I received that awful call, my recent “struggles” became so irrelevant.\u00a0 It is a heartbreaking loss for this family and it only reminds me yet again, what life is really all about. Our daily life is of course important.\u00a0 Our work we put so much passion and effort into is of course important.\u00a0 But our loved ones take the cake, our relationships are what keep us strong and what we truly live for. \u00a0 We must never forget this.<\/p>\n

I know it may seem like we never have time for anything, but there will always be work to do.\u00a0 There will always be dirt to clean, emails to check, appointments to make and people to call back.\u00a0 But those you love most may not always be around.\u00a0 Live your life in such a way that you can work hard but still be able to enjoy the people that matter most.<\/p>\n
