WOO!\u00a0 I wanted to give some time in advance to plan ahead and SET YOURSELF UP for success.\u00a0 Planning is KEY people, KEY!\u00a0\u00a0 This challenge will officially begin on <strong>Monday Feb 3rd<\/strong> and will end <strong>Friday Feb 28th<\/strong>.\u00a0 So not quite 30 days, but enough to give your self a good kick in the butt.\u00a0 After this challenge, I will continue to post little challenges to build off of this one.\u00a0 Keep it simple, baby steps.\u00a0 No need to make a bunch of crazy changes at once.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2013-Cont.-205.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1221 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2013-Cont.-205.jpg\" alt=\"2013 Cont. 205\" width=\"371\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2013-Cont.-205.jpg 1440w, http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2013-Cont.-205-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2013-Cont.-205-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2013-Cont.-205-1024x1024.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No this is NOT a Paleo Challenge, more so of a general- clean eating\/watching what you eat\/having boundaries\/not being a total piggy-challenge.\u00a0 The cool thing is you can tweak it however you want!\u00a0 For example, if you are not such a sweets monster like I am, maybe substitute no sweets for no fast food or no alcohol etc.\u00a0 Something that you have a hard time moderating, give it up for this month.\u00a0 You will not regret it.\u00a0 Shain and I have been doing this challenge together for almost 2 weeks now, so far so good.\u00a0 We are logging our food and keeping\u00a0 each other accountable and at the end of the 30 days we will decide on the winner and here is the kicker&#8230;the LOSER has to do ALL the house chores for a month (we split them in half usually).\u00a0 I mean, talk about motivation.\u00a0 I won&#8217;t have to clean for an entire month if I stick to the challenge??\u00a0 It&#8217;s on Shain, it is ON.\u00a0 So, let&#8217;s get to it! Here\u00a0 are the rules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All CLEAN foods.\u00a0 If eating something &#8220;processed&#8221; it must have 5 ingredients or LESS on the label.\u00a0 None of that paragraph of words you cannot pronounce crap.<\/li>\n<li>Get 6 workouts in a week.\u00a0 Even if it is a quick 20 minutes of cardio, aim to MOVE at least 6 days out of the week.<\/li>\n<li>No eating after 6pm (big weakness for me).<\/li>\n<li>No sweets (ugh).<\/li>\n<li>ONE carbohydrate based meal a day and <strong>no more than that (pasta, rice, bread etc)<\/strong>.\u00a0 Avoid those meals for dinner if possible.<\/li>\n<li>AT LEAST one meat based meal a day.<\/li>\n<li>6-8 glasses of water a day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, that is not so bad right?\u00a0 Again, feel free to tweak as needed.\u00a0 Or twerk&#8230;you can do that too if you want and count it as cardio.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/eatclean.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1222 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/eatclean.jpg\" alt=\"eatclean\" width=\"307\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/eatclean.jpg 612w, http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/eatclean-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.blessedinthemess.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/eatclean-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/><\/a>Each week of this challenge I will post some recipes for you to try out as well as some quick workouts anybody can do at home.\u00a0 NO EXCUSES.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s do this! I have already been suffering for 2 weeks so it is only right you join me?!<\/p>\n<p>Food for the week: typically for two of us I make 3 meals a week that serve 4-6 and that can get us through until Friday.\u00a0 So if you see the attached document, it has 4 meals to prepare and then some quick breakfast and snack ideas. \u00a0 If you are only making food for yourself this week, the attached list will probably be too much&#8230;BUT you can also freeze it for the next week!\u00a0 I put more than necessary just in case you are cooking for more than two.\u00a0 Creating healthy habits should be a FAMILY affair you know!<\/p>\n<p>See attached and start planning!\u00a0 When will you cook this week?\u00a0 When will you get your workouts in?
